This is part of the team that is working in Olievenhoutbosch. We came together for a short training on how to do discipleship in Olievenhoutbosch.
The most important thing is that the people of Olievenhoutbosch do not need us. They do not need our social welfare projects or job creation ideas. They need Jesus. They need Jesus to be the centre of their lives so that He can bring eternal restoration in their lives. Everything that we do apart from laying foundations in their lives has no eternal value.
We are coming from outside of the community trying to make a difference inside. That means that building a relationship is critical for any success we want to see. If the people of Olievenhoutbosch to not trust us there is no way that they will let us speak deep truths into their lives. Building and growing that relationship is the vehicle through which discipleship can happen.
I am so privileged to be working with this incredible team. To see their love for the people and their desire to see that God's Kingdom will come in Olievenhoutbosch...
