February 2011

The Every Nation Pretoria staff

This has been one crazy busy month!! It was packed with a worship and a/v camp, church envisioning night, Every Nation Centurion’s FIRST EVER Victory Weekend, missions week, mapping campus culture on Centurion Akademie and a coming together of the congregations at the City Wide Service. We are still catching our breath, but while we pause for just a moment we can reflect on an AWESOME GOD who has been so faithful and is literally moving ahead of His army.

Rev 19:11 - Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called FAITHFUL and TRUE, and in righteousness He judges and MAKES WAR.
Jesus is our mighty warrior and He is victorious!
May we really draw strength from this. God is calling us and inviting us to co-labour with Him in reaching lost people, but He has shown us the end result. We keep on fighting, keep on enduring, keep on praying, keep on trusting regardless of our circumstances, because in the end…

WE WIN!!!

Change the campus, change the world...

The future of our nation is currently on our University Campuses and with over 30 African nations being represented just on TUKS campus, we have the opportunity not only to impact South Africa, but the whole continent of Africa.  Through engaging and discipling the campuses of South Africa we are sending solid God-honouring disciples into every sphere of life and this can only result in  a God-honouring nation. Thus the campuses are the key… This month we had our first evangelistic event at Centurion Academy, Mapping Campus Culture, and one of the tools we used was the Godtest (http://godtest.org/). We specifically went out to engage the students and establish relationships from which we can disciple and bring truth into their lives. Over just 2 days we have established relationships with about 50 students and have seen 8 people commit their lives to Christ.    ALL THE GLORY TO GOD!!! This is only the start...

Why discipleship???

This month I had my greatest revelation yet on WHY WE DO DISCIPLESHIP. I was having coffee with friend and mentor, Ben Schoeman. I was just sharing what is going on in my life and through a couple of strategic questions he identified a massive insecurity in my life which was rooted in a lie. We prayed together and I’m trusting God that He will bring complete healing and freedom in this area, but afterwards I said to Ben, “How would I have been able to see this if I had not been in discipleship relationships?”. We need people who speak the truth of God into our lives, people who love us enough to be brutally honest about sin, we need discipleship...
 Prayer request:
  • Please pray specifically for Centurion   Academy. For the  students who gave their hearts to Jesus and for every       student who was reached during  Mapping Campus Culture to remain open for discipleship and for leaders to be raised up on campus.
  • Our missions trip to Mozambique, 1-11 April. We are trusting God for open doors and a man of peace. This will be a pioneering mission so we really need favour into the lives of strategic people and communities.
  • For our president, Jacob Zuma, that his heart will be open to the voice of God constantly calling him into relationship.
  • For me personally, that I will remain faithful with my time in the Word and in prayer. Also, that God will reveal every area of fear and insecurity in my life and that His truth will bring complete healing and freedom.
Testimonies
  • Open doors with Ds Christo Viljoen who is currently working with some of the Centurion Academy students. They really need help and this is such an awesome opportunity for us to serve the body of Christ!
  • While engaging students on campus I met with Hannes, a marketing student. He was so open and willing to share his life and is really in need of Jesus. His salvation is near!
  • God’s amazing faithfulness during Mapping Campus Culture.
  • Argue, a security guard, was trusting God for a new work. His current work has a very minimal salary and the hours  keep him away from his family. God has answered his prayers and he is starting his new job the 1st of April!
  • Melissa, one of our staff members, hurt her leg during a practice routine for the missions week - God has completely healed her. She now just needs to recover!!
Please send me YOUR prayer requests and testimonies. We want to pray and praise God with you...
