This is
Olievenhoutbosch...
A township just outside Centurion, home to thousands of people.
With people struggling to make ends meet, crime, drug- and alchohol abuse, teenage pregnancies and parentless homes the living conditions in Olievenhoutbosch are not something we would desire our own kids to grow up in. Yet we have thousands and thousands of people doing life here, often they have lost hope and purpose. They need Jesus.
Christo, a friend from church, has been building relationships with a couple of guys for quite some time, and God has really laid it ons our hearts to reach and disciple the people in Olievenhoutbosch. So we started walking the streets and praying. Engaging people on the streets and building new relationships. Here are some of the first fruits =)
This is the shop where we get together. Owned by a Pakistani guy who really loves Jesus!!
The Bible sais Jesus ate with the people, so we ate together!
And after the meal we got into the Word. The people are so hungry for the Word, to understand the Word. Here we are teaching them how to read and understand the Word and to practically apply it in their lives.
