Ons is verloof!!!

So word ons almal ook groot =D

17 Mei by 'n Roxette konsert was stap 1.

Toe besluit ek op 'n piekniek in my tuin.

What do you see????

This is Riverside place. A block of flats in Centurion where many students and young working adults stay.

I see an oppertunity for evangelism and discipleship. Imagine the possibilities. We always say change the campus and you can change the world. So then, reach a student and change the campus!!

Imagine reaching the young working class, who are the future of our businesses and the future of our society...

Our vision is to see a transformed city filled with God-honouring disciples. That is a BIG vision!!! But it starts with one person discipling another, flowing over into reaching a block of flats that spreads into every sphere of society. Then you have a transformed city. It starts with ONE.

Here is my one. Elijah. A student at Centurion Academy who is passionate about Jesus and passionate about reaching those who do not know Christ. He is my warrior and together we will reach the people at Riverside Place, person by person, changing the city we live in!

"MANNE!!!!!"

"Men, go and fight for the heart of your king!"

These words from the book The Barbarian way by Erwin McManus echoe in my heart ever since.

We were a group of about 30 men going into the bushveld, getting away from the city and settling in the peace of nature... During our preperation for the weekend we clearly felt God saying that we werent taking men on a camp, but we were taking them to God. And this was our expectation, to meet up with God. He didnt dissapoint!!!

Through a weekend of bonding, paintballing, horse riding, swimming (for some and totally by accident) and a late night bonfire, we experienced the presence of God. With amazing times of worship, great messages, men ministering to one another and really speaking DEEEEEP into the hearts of men.

The word we received over the weekend wasnt anything new, a letter from heaven type revelation, God was just calling us back into our original purpose. To be men, to lead, to take charge, to live from our position as conquerors and to fight in this battle that we ALL are born into - with Christ as our leader! For too long have we stood back and made excuses. Blameshifting to hide our own passiveness.

I am really trusting God to see eternal fruit from what He came and did in the hearts of men over the weekend. Restoring identity, giving purpose, and setting men free from just existing. I trust that we will see men going back to their families and taking up their position to lead. Into their businesses and taking up the responsibility to bring in the Godly standard.

We have a King, Jesus, and He is fighting for His Kingdom.
Let us go and fight for the heart of our King!!!
